Raising A Reader Massachusetts seeks to close the literacy opportunity gap among children ages birth to age six in under-resourced communities by helping families develop and practice shared home reading habits.
Launched in 2006 with community partners, it has expanded to serve over 7,500 children and their families throughout Boston, Brockton, Everett, Holyoke, Lawrence, Lowell, Lynn, Malden, Revere, and Springfield.
