In a Dow Jones MarketWatch “Distributed Ledger” column, asset management partner Jeremy Liabo analyzed the impact of the U.S. midterm elections on the cryptocurrency market.
Jeremy explained that one of the bipartisan crypto regulatory bills that is most likely to advance through the U.S. Congress was proposed by senators Debbie Stabenow, a Democrat from Michigan, and John Boozman, a Republican from Arkansas. The bill, if passed, will substantially expand the authority of the U.S. Commodity Futures Trading Commission to regulate digital commodities. Jeremy notes that dialogue and criticism around the bill does not fall along political party lines.
