Ropes & Gray advised Lyric Capital Group on the closing of its second music royalty fund, Lyric Capital Royalty Fund II. The fund closed with total commitments of approximately $410 million, exceeding its target with support from a diverse group of new and existing institutional investors. The closing was announced February 28 in a press release.
Lyric Capital Group, a New York-based private equity firm specializing in music copyrights investments and the owner of global music publishing operation Spirit Music Group, has several hundred million dollars of committed capital currently under management, and over $800 million transacted.
