As ESG investment practices become increasingly politicized, employers are reexamining how to promote and incorporate ESG principals into their businesses.
Josh Lichtenstein, a partner in the employment, executive compensation and employee benefits group and head of the firm’s ERISA fiduciary practice, told POLITICO that, “the more these ties (to other random stuff) get made, maybe the more it resonates, but also the more the debate about ESG may not actually be about ESG at all. The word ESG is becoming a proxy for progressivism.”
