In Fierce Healthcare, Margaux Hall Offers Outlook on 2024 Medicare Drug Price Negotiations

In a Fierce Healthcare article, health care partner Margaux Hall, who leads the firm’s drug pricing and price reporting group, provided an outlook on Medicare drug price negotiations.

Margaux notes that 2023 was a year of sweeping federal agency action regarding what the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid has done for the Inflation Reduction Act drug price negotiations. “The agency has taken expansive latitude in interpreting the [IRA]… in some instances, [the agency has] seemingly rewrite[ten] the statute,” said Margaux. She predicts that IRA litigation will continue for several years, and that more cases could be filed as the program’s impact continues to become evident.
