As artificial intelligence, cloud computing and the digital economy rapidly grow, data centers are increasingly critical yet challenging to implement.
Real estate partner Jack Creedon told The Deal that, “the grid can't support the amount of energy that these data centers will require." He noted that key markets such as Northern Virginia, Atlanta and Dallas are facing power constraints.
“The transition away from fossil to renewable is going to take a long time. And I think that the data center industry is not going to be able to wait that long," Jack said.
