Litigation & enforcement partner Helen Gugel recently led the panel, “Whistleblowers: Policies, Investigations and Issues,” that explored expanding whistleblower programs and policies, incentives, best practices and challenges in investigating whistleblower allegations. The panel was part of the New York City Bar White Collar Crime Institute.
Panel members, including senior leaders from the Department of Justice and Securities and Exchange Commission, discussed recently announced whistleblower policies incentivizing individuals and companies to self-report potential misconduct, and the potential impact on corporate compliance programs.
