Ropes & Gray is advising Tiptree, a NASDAQ-listed company that allocates capital to select small and middle market companies with the mission of building long term value and Fortegra, a U.S.-based specialty insurer, in its $1.65 billion sale to DB Insurance, the second largest non-life insurer in South Korea. Tiptree has worked closely with the Fortegra management team to nurture Fortegra’s growth and deliver a track record of consistent performance over the last decade, culminating in this transaction. The transaction was announced in a Sept. 25 press release.
DB Insurance serves over 11 million customers and offers a diversified portfolio including long-term medical, auto, and property and casualty insurance policies.
