Ropes & Gray represented HarbourVest Partners as the lead investor in the closing of Tyree & D’Angelo Partners’ single-asset continuation fund transaction for Western Veterinary Partners. The transaction, announced in a November 3 press release, enables Tyree & D’Angelo Partners (“TDP”) to extend its partnership with Western, a leading U.S.-based general veterinary support company, and raise new capital to support Western’s continued organic growth and future acquisitions.
The continuation fund, anchored by HarbourVest Partners and supported by Ares Private Equity Secondaries funds, syndicate investors, and TDP’s existing limited and general partners, will be managed by TDP. Western Veterinary Partners, headquartered in Denver, Colorado, is recognized for its veterinarian-centric approach and strong market presence across the United States, delivering high-quality care and services to companion animals and pet parents.
The Ropes & Gray team included alternative asset opportunities partners Isabel Dische and Christian Vareika, tax partner Dan Kolb, asset management counsel Ashley Hersutamto, and litigation & enforcement counsel Heather Sprague.
