Ropes & Gray represented Sitryx Therapeutics in an exclusive global license with Boehringer Ingelheim for a preclinical, oral, small molecule inhibitor program across multiple autoimmune and inflammatory diseases. The transaction was announced on February 26.
Under the agreement, Sitryx granted Boehringer exclusive rights to multiple candidates and associated intellectual property, while Boehringer assumes responsibility for further research, clinical development, and commercialization. Sitryx will receive upfront and near-term payments and is eligible for potential development, regulatory and commercialization milestone payments totaling more than $500 million, in addition to tiered royalties on future sales.
The Ropes & Gray team was led by life sciences licensing partner Hannah England and life sciences licensing associate Evan Tallmadge and included tax partner Chris Agnoli.
