Ropes & Gray Advised on $1 Billion in HA Sustainable Infrastructure Capital Green Notes

Ropes & Gray has represented the underwriters in two of HA Sustainable Infrastructure Capital (HASI)’s offerings of green notes: $600 million in aggregate principal amount of 7.125% green junior subordinated notes due 2056, and $400 million in aggregate principal amount of 6.000% green senior unsecured notes due 2036. The transactions were announced on Feb. 19 and Feb. 20, respectively, and closed on Feb. 27 and March 2.

HASI will use cash equal to the net proceeds from this offering to acquire, invest in or refinance, in whole or in part, new and existing eligible green projects.

HASI is an investor in sustainable infrastructure assets advancing the energy transition. With more than $16 billion in managed assets, HASI’s investments are diversified across multiple asset classes, including utility-scale solar, onshore wind, and storage; distributed solar and storage; RNG; and energy efficiency.
