Ropes & Gray advised Biocare Medical, a global leader in clinical pathology, in its sale to Agilent Technologies Inc., in an all-cash transaction valued at $950 million. The definitive agreement, announced in a March 9 press release, will expand Agilent’s pathology portfolio through the addition of a highly complementary antibody, reagent and instrument business.
Biocare serves customers with a complementary portfolio of immunohistochemistry (IHC), in situ hybridization (ISH) and fluorescence in situ hybridization (FISH) solutions designed to support improved patient health outcomes across oncology and broader clinical pathology.
