Ropes & Gray advised Sutter Health on a collaboration with Santa Clara University to launch the Mark & Mary Stevens School of Medicine, establishing the first new medical school in California’s San Francisco Bay Area in more than a century. It is funded in part by a $175 million gift from Mark and Mary (a Santa Clara alumna) Stevens. The news was announced on May 15.
