Litigation & enforcement partner Joan McPhee (New York) was named to The New York Business Journal’s 2019 “Women of Influence” list. The list honors women business leaders that have made notable contributions in their careers and communities.
Ms. McPhee was recognized as a leader of Ropes & Gray’s independent investigations group and for her handling of high-profile litigation, enforcement and investigations. In 2018, Ms. McPhee co-led a 10-month independent investigation commissioned by the United States Olympic Committee into the abuse of elite and Olympic gymnasts by Larry Nassar.
Ms. McPhee was also honored for her commitment to public service in the New York community, including her position as co-chair of the Ropes & Gray Diversity Committee, and her efforts to expand the firm’s pro bono practice with national and international partnerships, including Lawyers Without Borders and the Innocence Project.
