Private Equity partner Amanda McGrady Morrison was chosen by The Deal for its annual list of “Top Women in Dealmaking.”
The award spotlights “women attorneys who are shattering the glass ceiling” in mergers & acquisitions, private equity and business restructuring. The list of 48 women attorneys were selected for their accomplishments advising clients in a variety of transactions.
The Deal recognized Amanda for her work managing numerous multi-billion-dollar transactions for clients including Advent International, Summit Partners, Cove Hill Partners and other asset managers.
In arguably the most-watched PE deal of 2020, Amanda served as the lead counsel to Advent International in its transaction to acquire Forescout Technologies, including a renegotiated deal to complete the transaction for $1.6 billion. She also represented Advent in its acquisition of Olaplex, a prestige haircare brand, in January. In April, Amanda was lead counsel to Summit Partners and Silversmith Capital Partners in the sale of a majority interest in LifeStance Health Partners to TPG Capital, and in November, she represented Cove Hill Partners in the sale of Storable to EQT Partners.
Amanda is also co-chair of Ropes & Gray’s Women’s Forum, which sponsors a wide range of initiatives aimed at promoting and supporting our female attorneys and clients.
