Private equity partner Martin Ruhaak was named to the Chicago Daily Law Bulletin’s 40 Under 40 list of outstanding lawyers for 2021. The Chicago publication highlighted Martin’s tireless and attentive approach to working with clients on complex investments and challenging transactions across the United States and international borders.
“Not only is he personally talented but his collegial and thoughtful manner elevates the work of attorneys around him,” wrote the Chicago Daily Law Bulletin. “As a result, Marty’s deal teams are able to efficiently and intelligently address client concerns and priorities.”
Martin was selected for the breadth of his experience advising on mergers and acquisitions, dispositions, leveraged buyouts, equity and debt financings, restructurings and recapitalizations for private equity as well as public companies, family offices and institutional investors.
The Law Bulletin also cited Martin’s work as a member of the capital fund-raising board of Beat the Streets Chicago, a youth athletic organization devoted to serving children in Chicago’s minority communities. Martin is also a member of the board of trustees of Eastern Illinois University and a youth coach for the Chicago Park District.
