Helen Croke has been included in Private Equity News’ inaugural list of the Twenty Most Influential Private Equity Lawyers, which celebrates the leading legal minds working on fundraising, structuring and deals within the buyout industry in Europe.
Helen specialises in UK and international private equity transactions, working for buyout firms, institutional investors and corporates on acquisitions, equity arrangements and restructurings.
As one of the few senior female private equity lawyers working in London, Helen has a particular passion for mentoring junior women coming up the ranks. She is also one of the most successful City lawyers to have moved from a UK firm to a US one, having joined Ropes & Gray in 2016 from Travers Smith.
Helen’s regular clients include Astorg, Intermediate Capital Group, 3i and Nordic Capital. Deals she has worked on in the last year include advising Astorg on the acquisition of Euromoney Institutional Investor, a complex transaction that involved a £1.6bn take-private followed by a restructuring and spin out of its Fastmarkets division.
