Health care partner Jennifer Romig was honored in the Chicago Lawyer’s Women in Law 2023 awards. The recognition honors Chicago area women who have made a significant impact on the legal profession, achieved success while mentoring and promoting other women and been shining examples of leadership.
Among her many accomplishments, Jenn advised on the health care aspects of Amazon’s $3.8 billion purchase of One Medical—one of the biggest health care deals of the year. Amazon’s push into health care stands to reshape the delivery of health care services to patients.
In addition, Jenn represented New Mountain Capital portfolio company Signify Health as regulatory counsel in its sale to CVS Health in an all-cash transaction valued at approximately $8 billion. Signify Health is a health care platform that leverages advanced analytics, technology and nationwide healthcare provider networks to create and power value-based payment programs, and the transaction is designed to advance CVS’ value-based care strategy.
Jenn’s versatility and broad skill set allows her to provide sophisticated advice on complex transactional and regulatory matters for a broad range of health care clients. Her deep knowledge and experience spans health care, digital health and data privacy and cybersecurity.
Pro bono is a priority for Jenn. She represents asylum seekers through the Heartland Alliance’s National Immigration Justice Center. She also counsels pro bono clients of Above and Beyond, an outpatient addiction treatment facility in Chicago.
