The COVID-19 pandemic has had a major impact on the conduct of clinical trials worldwide. Recognizing this impact, national authorities have issued guidance for sponsors, investigators and institutional review boards (IRBs)/research ethics committees (RECs) regarding the conduct of clinical trials.
