The environment for plaintiff patent holding companies, individuals and small businesses is shifting substantially. Federal Circuit opinions on a wide variety of subjects such as venue, patent eligible subject matter, exhaustion, permanent injunctions, and obviousness are making life more difficult for patent plaintiffs.
