Ropes & Gray Government Enforcement Partner Leads Roundtable at ACI Medical Devices Conference

On April 9, Ropes & Gray partner Joshua Levy (Boston) moderated a panel at the American Conference Institute's 14th National Summit on Reducing Legal Risks in the Sales and Marketing of Medical Devices, held this year in Chicago. The panel included William Nettles, United States Attorney for the District of South Carolina and other senior federal prosecutors. Josh posed questions to the prosecutors on a number of topics relevant to medical device companies and the health care industry, including government handling of qui tam matters, the potential advantages of voluntary self-disclosure and the role of in-house counsel in a government investigations.
