The Association of Corporate Counsel’s San Francisco Bay Area chapter (ACC SFBA) will host a seminar panel on cyber and cloud security featuring data privacy partners Jim DeGraw and Michelle Visser.
The CLE panel titled “Cyber Security & the Move to the Cloud: The Practical and Legal Challenges of Securing and Controlling Data” focuses on hidden security risks in moving to the cloud -- risks that if not managed properly could easily wipe out the organization’s investment in security and cost savings in moving to the cloud.
Blue Coat Systems Vice President and CISO Kevin Reardon, and Ropes & Gray data security partners Michelle Visser and Jim DeGraw will discuss these challenges based on their collective experiences, and suggest practical approaches for managing the security of data in the cloud, including:
- Strategies and considerations for implementing cloud security
- Compliance and regulation in the cloud
- Incident response plans adapted to cloud security
