Ropes & Gray Partner to Speak at the 11th National Institute on the Civil False Claims Act and Qui Tam Enforcement

On June 9, government enforcement partner Kirsten Mayer will speak at the 11th National Institute on the Civil False Claims Act and Qui Tam Enforcement in Washington, D.C. Ms. Mayer’s panel, titled “Recent Developments on Damages and Penalties,” will focus on the calculation and proof of FCA damages, particularly in cases where the damages are not easily ascertainable, as well as the assessment of civil penalties. This three day conference is presented by the American Bar Association. The program is aimed at bringing together experts from all areas – DOJ, state AG offices, federal agencies, leading defense and plaintiff firms – to discuss this ever-growing area of litigation and enforcement.
