Ropes & Gray and the Boston College Law School Program on Innovation and Entrepreneurship will co-host the 5th Annual International IP Summit, on October 13-14, 2022 at Boston College Law School.

Now in its fifth year, the International IP Summit has rapidly become a premier forum for practitioners, business leaders, academics, and government officials to complex legal issues facing U.S. technology and life sciences companies operating on a global scale.

This year’s theme is innovation in the midst of uncertainty and will feature over 30 speakers from Boston-area technology and life sciences companies such as Gingko, Toast, Sanofi, Nuance Communications, Bain Capital, State Street, Indigo, Salsify, Butterfly Networks, as well as speakers from McKinsey, the judiciary, speakers from academia (including faculty from the MIT Sloan Business School, Texas A&M, BC Law, etc.) and others from the US patent and trademark office and Brazil.

Event panels will explore complex and timely topics such as the evolving regulatory and IP protection landscape for NFTs, cryptocurrencies, and other fintech offerings; whether protections for IP owners and patent holders have gone too far; European updates on the expected launch of the Unified Patent Court; and general counsel insights on how they’re managing evolving technology and ESG standards. The event will also feature an interactive roundtable of senior legal and business executives and numerous networking opportunities for attendees.

The event agenda and registration are now available.
