Ropes & Gray represented Yellow Media Inc. in its $225 million acquisition of Canadian Phone Directories Holdings Inc. (Canpages) from private equity firm HM Capital Partners. The acquisition was announced on March 30. Yellow Media Inc., a subsidiary of Yellow Pages Income Fund, owns Yellow Pages Group and Trader Corporation. Canpages is a local search and directories publisher in Canada. The firm previously represented Yellow Pages Group in its acquisition of the assets of Volt Information Sciences, Inc. directory systems and services and its directory publishing operations.
