Leading international law firm Ropes & Gray LLP today announced that it has donated seventeen floors of furniture from its former Boston office location to The Furniture Trust, a Newton, Mass.-based non-profit corporation. The Furniture Trust, in turn, will distribute the thousands of desks, bookcases, file cabinets, chairs, tables and workstations and other office furniture to local non-profits. This is the largest furniture donation ever made to the Furniture Trust in Boston. Ropes & Gray has relocated its Boston office to the Prudential Center from One International Place.

“Ropes & Gray is very pleased to provide this significant benefit to community organizations, including pro bono firm clients and other charities,” said John Montgomery, managing partner of Ropes & Gray.

Ropes & Gray has partnered with The Furniture Trust, which will identify charitable organizations, schools and other non-profits across Massachusetts that are in need of furniture donations.  Interested non-profit organizations should contact The Furniture Trust directly at (617) 921-7443.
