Ropes & Gray Elevates Four Lawyers to Partnership

Ropes & Gray is pleased to announce that 4 lawyers at the firm have been promoted to the partnership.

The new partners represent a range of practices, including private equity, finance, life sciences, intellectual property, business restructuring and tax & benefits, and are located across the firm’s offices in Boston, New York, London, Hong Kong and Silicon Valley.

The new partners are:

  • Mark Bellomy, IP transactions (Boston), focuses on technology-based corporate transactions, including licensing, research and development collaborations, strategic commercial partnerships, M&A, information-technology outsourcing, joint ventures and technology transfers.

  • David Chun, IP litigation (New York), focuses on litigating intellectual property matters, including patent infringement and trade secret misappropriation, has participated in litigations involving a broad range of technologies, including semiconductor and flash memory, cellular telephones, digital signal processing for hearing aid devices, on-line gaming, hard disk drives, alternative fuels, software interfaces, medical devices, business methods and consumer products.

  • William Jewett, tax & benefits (Boston), advises clients on qualified and non-qualified employee benefits, executive compensation, Title I of ERISA, ERISA litigation, and a variety of transactional and investment-related matters.

  • Stephen Moeller-Sally, business restructuring (Boston), regularly represents lenders, bondholders, creditors’ committees, indenture trustees, loan agents, hedge funds and private equity investors in bankruptcy proceedings and out-of-court restructurings throughout the U.S.
