Ropes & Gray represented Berkshire Partners on its investment in toymaker Melissa & Doug LLC, announced on Dec. 21.

The Ropes & Gray deal team was led by Boston-based private equity partner Jane Goldstein, Chicago-based tax & benefits partner Jeff Greenblatt, and New York-based private equity associate Chris Parsons.
 
Melissa & Doug is one of the leading designers and manufacturers of educational toys and children's products.
