Ropes & Gray represented TPG Capital in its proposed acquisition of Immucor Inc., a Norcross, Ga.-based diagnostics firm, for $1.97 billion in a deal announced July 5.
The Ropes & Gray team was led by private equity partner Will Shields and finance partner Byung Choi and includes: partners Al Cacozza (FDA regulatory), Loretta Richard (benefits), Jeff Greenblatt (tax), Joan McPhee (government enforcement), Diane Patrick (labor & employment), Chris Green (securities litigation), Peter Alpert (environmental), and Walter McCabe (real estate).
The deal is expected to close in the second half of 2011.
