Richard Gallagher, Leading Business and Securities Litigation Lawyer, Joins Ropes & Gray in San Francisco
Ropes & Gray is pleased to announce that Richard Gallagher, a leading commercial and securities litigator, has joined the firm’s litigation practice group as a partner in its San Francisco office.
The addition of Mr. Gallagher bolsters Ropes & Gray’s litigation practice, which has been consistently recognized as one of the nation’s best, and enhances the service the firm provides to clients on the West Coast.
Mr. Gallagher joins Ropes & Gray from Orrick, Herrington & Sutcliffe. Recognized in the Bay Area for his business and securities litigation wins, Mr. Gallagher has focused his practice on a wide-range of commercial and securities-related matters, including class actions, M&A litigation, derivative suits and corporate governance litigation.
Ropes & Gray has represented some of the world’s most innovative financial institutions, technology and life sciences companies on the West coast. The firm’s business & securities litigation practice group has been repeatedly recognized as a top securities litigation practice in the United States. In January, for the third time in four years, Law360 named the firm a “practice group of the year.”
