A March 31 article in The American Lawyer magazine features quotes by capital markets partner Julie Jones and private equity transactions partner Newcomb Stillwell (both of Boston). The article analyzes the volume of global M&A transactions in 2013 and suggests a more positive outlook for 2014. Ms. Jones comments that the recent drop in stock prices may help sellers and buyers more easily reach agreement on valuations and pricing. Mr. Stillwell adds, "The bottom line is that we are slowly recovering," he says. "I think last year was better than the year before, and this year will be better still."
