Ropes & Gray congratulates BV Investment Partners on the successful fundraising of its eighth fund, BVIP Fund VIII. The private equity firm, led by Vikrant Raina, Louis Bertocci, Andrew Davis, Elizabeth Granville Smith, and Justin Harrison is a lower middle-market private equity firm focused on the information and business services and communications sectors. BVIP Fund VIII held its final closing on August 15 with US$487 million in capital commitments, exceeding the Fund’s target of $400 million. The Fund’s investors comprised a diverse group of individuals and entities, including pension plans, investment banks, fund-of-funds, foundations and other institutional investors from across the U.S. and Europe.
The legal work was notable in adapting to the changing marketplace over the course of the fundraising, including accommodating the implementation of the Alternative Investment Fund Managers (AIFM) Directive.
