Intellectual Property Litigation Partners Speak at Managing Intellectual Property’s International Women’s Leadership Forum

Intellectual property litigation partner Leslie Spencer (New York) spoke on a panel titled “Protecting Computer-Related Inventions in the Aftermath of Alice” at Managing Intellectual Property’s annual International Women’s Leadership Forum on June 9 in New York. Together with Sophia Lee (IEX Group) and Candice Hebden (High 5 Games), Ms. Spencer addressed topics related to protecting software innovation in light of the 2014 U.S. Supreme Court decision in Alice Corp. v. CLS Bank Int’l, such as recent Federal Circuit and district court guidance on the patentability of computer-related inventions, successful strategies for obtaining and enforcing software patents, and trade secret protection of software, including under The Defend Trade Secrets Act of 2016.
