Ropes & Gray advised GHO Capital Partners LLP, the European specialist investor in health care, in its acquisition of Caprion Biosciences, Inc., a specialist laboratory services company.

Headquartered in Montreal, Canada, Caprion has been providing large-scale proteomics and immune monitoring services to over 50 major pharmaceutical and biotechnology clients for more than 15 years. The company’s immune monitoring platform measures and monitors immune response parameters in patient samples, and is used in clinical trials for the development of drugs that involve the immune system, while its proteomics platform enables the identification and measurement of proteins for biomarker discovery and validation, and for quality control in the manufacturing processes of biological drugs and compounds.

GHO Capital was founded in 2014 as a specialist health care investment advisor based in London. The completion of the acquisition was announced July 20.

The Ropes & Gray team advising GHO Capital included private equity partner Neill Jakobe, tax partner Elaine Murphy, executive compensation & employee benefits partner Jennifer Rikoski, business & securities litigation partner William Sussman and labor & employment associate Jennifer Cormier.
