Ropes & Gray corporate associate Charlie Haydock throws out the first pitch at the Red Sox game on Aug. 13.

Ropes & Gray corporate associate Charlie Haydock, a member of the Rosie’s Place Debt Clinic, threw out the first pitch at the Aug. 13 Red Sox game. The first pitch celebrated Ropes & Gray’s commitment to Rosie’s Place and the commitment Rosie’s Place has made to the Greater Boston community for over three decades. A shelter for women, Rosie’s Place provides support, housing and education services to 12,000 individuals each year.

red-sox-game Ropes & Gray private investment funds partner Ann Milner has been instrumental in creating the Rosie’s Place Debt Clinic, which provides free legal assistance to Rosie’s guests at Rosie’s Place in Boston. The clinic is a resource for clients to try to address loss of housing benefits because of debt, harassment from debt collectors, student loans and other debt issues.

“It’s a great way for Ropes & Gray’s attorneys to do substantive, valuable pro bono work,” Ann said. In 2015, the firm built the clinic, which functions like a remote office within Rosie’s Place, with computers, desks, files and phones furnished by Ropes & Gray.
