  • Univision’s $135 million bid for the assets of Gawker Media Group (represented by Ropes & Gray), was given the green light by a U.S. bankruptcy judge.
  • Ropes & Gray welcomed Amanda Persaud as a private investment funds partner in the firm’s 300-lawyer New York office; she had been the practice leader at Wachtell, Lipton, Rosen & Katz.
  • In a new podcast, partners Gregory Levine, Albert Cacozza and Michael Beauvais discuss the latest changes in digital health regulation, investment and transactions, providing insights on disruptive forces in the marketplace.
  • And finally, attorneys and staff in Chicago filled backpacks for children living in low-income and homeless situations, volunteering with the Cradles to Crayons Ready for School Backpack-A-Thon, while in Boston, partners of the firm joined the Emerald Necklace Conservancy and the Massachusetts Department of Conservation and Recreation in commemorating the planting of 150 red oak trees donated by Ropes & Gray.
