Ropes & Gray Advises Genstar Capital in Acquisition of Bracket
Ropes & Gray represented leading middle-market private equity sponsor Genstar Capital in its acquisition of Bracket, a scientifically driven clinical trial technology and specialty services provider, from Parthenon Capital Partners.
With nine offices and more than 700 employees worldwide, Bracket delivers an integrated suite of solutions that help pharmaceutical and biotechnology companies and contract research organizations maximize clinical data integrity. It currently serves a diverse base of global customers, including 15 of the top 20 biopharma companies.
The acquisition was announced March 28. Terms of the transaction were not disclosed.
The Ropes & Gray team included private equity partner Todd Boes (San Francisco), finance partner Michael Lee (Boston), tax partner Leo Arnaboldi (New York), and private equity associate Minh-Chau Le (San Francisco).
Ropes & Gray has previously advised San Francisco-based Genstar Capital in numerous transactions, including Genstar’s recent investment in Alera Group, a new national insurance brokerage and wealth management firm created from the merger of 24 independent firms.
