Ropes & Gray represented Best Doctors in its definitive agreement to be acquired by Teladoc, Inc., the nation’s first and largest telehealth platform.
Best Doctors is the world’s leading expert medical consultation company focused on improving health outcomes for the most complex, critical and costly medical issues.
Under the terms of the agreement, the purchase price consists of $375 million in cash and $65 million of Teladoc common stock. The transaction was announced June 19, 2017 and is expected to close in July 2017 subject to regulatory approvals and customary closing conditions.
