Intellectual property litigation counsel Matt Rizzolo (Washington, D.C.) was quoted in an Aug. 17 article published by The National Law Journal—and also appearing in The Recorder and The Texas Lawyer—that discussed the impact of the pivotal U.S. Supreme Court decision in TC Heartland v. Kraft Foods that reversed Federal Circuit precedent on patent litigation venue. The article explains how courts have been treating issues of potential waiver of improper venue defenses in pending patent infringement cases, an issue Mr. Rizzolo notes will likely soon be addressed by the Federal Circuit.
