Ropes & Gray Advises ICG on New Partnership with Blackrock PM
International law firm Ropes & Gray has advised Intermediate Capital Group (ICG) on its investment in Blackrock Programme Management (Blackrock PM), a UK-headquartered professional services firm that provides construction consulting and expert witness services for large, international construction and engineering projects.
The deal, which has announced today, involved the £161.5m sale of Blackrock PM from UK private equity firm Dunedin to its management team, with ICG providing both debt and equity financial support.
The Ropes & Gray team was led by private equity partner Helen Croke, with finance partner Malcolm Hitching leading on the debt aspects of the deal. Other members of the team included private equity associates Electra Callan and Phil Fogarty, as well as finance counsel Alex Robb.
It is the second deal that Ropes & Gray has advised ICG on in recent weeks. In June 2017, the firm advised ICG on the $5.3bn consortium buyout of Visma, Europe's largest ever software buyout.
