Health Care Co-Chair Speaks on Cybersecurity Best Practices in Health Care

Chicago-based partner and co-chair of the health care practice Deborah Gersh spoke at the Reassess, Reinforce, Resolve: Cybersecurity Best Practices in Health Care conference at the University Club of Chicago on Sept. 27.

Ms. Gersh spoke on the “Cyber-Hygiene Every Day Keeps Health-Care Ransomware Attacks Away” panel that addressed how the health care industry can best prepare and respond to the growing threat of ransomware cyberattacks. The attacks can threaten the confidentiality of patient and business information and have the potential to disrupt health insurance and patient payment systems.
