Ropes & Gray Advises CBRE Global Investors on CBRE Strategic Partners U.S. Value 8 and CBRE Asia Value Partners IV

Ropes & Gray advised CBRE Global Investors on the formation of CBRE Strategic Partners U.S. Value 8 and CBRE Asia Value Partners IV. CBRE Global Investors is a global real asset investment management firm with $98.3 billion in assets under management (as of Sept. 30, 2017).

CBRE Strategic Partners U.S. Value 8, L.P., is the latest fund in its U.S. enhanced-return strategy. The fund announced its final close on Nov. 28, with equity commitments of $1.34 billion from 25 institutional investors in the United States, Europe, the Middle East and Asia. Strategic Partners U.S. Value 8, is expected to have total purchasing power of more than $3.3 billion, including leverage.

CBRE Asia Value Partners IV is the latest fund in continuation of the firm’s value-add investment program in Asia. The fund announced its final close on Nov. 6, with equity commitments totaling $1 billion from 21 institutional investors in the Americas, Asia Pacific and EMEA. Asia Value Partners IV and its co-investment vehicles are expected to have total purchasing power of more than $2.5 billion, including leverage.
