On Nov. 8, members of Ropes & Gray’s Seoul office revisited a vocational training center in Seoul’s Gangnam District. The center is operated by the non-profit organization Miral Welfare Foundation and provides job training for people with special needs. Trainees earn income based on sales of bread they bake, flowers they arrange and package, and soaps they make.
IP litigation counsel Han Lee, office manager Rei Ha, executive assistants Chloe Yang and Ellie Kim, and practice development assistant Jenna Nam helped the center’s trainees fold paper bags for duty-free shops. Volunteers from the Seoul office have visited the center regularly since 2016, helping trainees package soap and perform other job-related tasks, and will continue to provide support during future visits.
