The authors explain that the Office of the National Coordinator for Health Information Technology, operating within the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services, has released a draft Trusted Exchange Framework. It maps out a public-private partnership designed to promote interoperability among health information networks. The article addresses the Trusted Exchange principles and required terms and conditions, along with evaluation questions.
