Ropes & Gray Co-Hosts Diversity Reception with AIPLA
On June 7, IP litigation partner Leslie Spencer, co-chair of Ropes & Gray’s diversity committee, co-hosted a networking happy hour in conjunction with the AIPLA to celebrate diversity and IP Law in the Bay Area. Guest speakers included representatives from Peninsula Bridge, Cristo Ray San Jose Jesuit High School, Street Law and the Silicon Valley Urban Debate League. These organizations are devoted to supporting, mentoring and educating diverse youth through the academic pipeline to college matriculation, and onto law school. In-house counsel in attendance included representatives from Oracle, Samsung, Symantec, Cisco, HP, Intel, Marvell Semiconductor, Varian Medical and Western Digital.
Participants included IP litigation partners Jim Batchelder and Andrew Thomases, IP litigation counsel Andrew Radsch, IP litigation associates Marta Belcher and Shong Yin, and summer associates Memme Onwudiwe and David Serati (all of Silicon Valley).
