Six New York City high school students interned with Ropes & Gray’s New York office from July 16-19, 2018, as part of the Legal Outreach program. Legal Outreach, a nonprofit with which the firm has partnered for more than 30 years, provides law-related educational services and professional development opportunities to high school students from underserved New York communities.
During their four days at the New York office, the interns met with attorneys and business support professionals, and learned about the practice of law and professional life at a large firm. They also learned about the legal issues involved in a recent U.S. Supreme Court case and presented oral arguments before a firm audience. The final program was led by Gregg Weiner, co-chair of the firm’s litigation & enforcement group, who congratulated the students on their presentations and facilitated a brief Q&A.
