In a California Daily JournaI article, IP litigation partner James Davis (Silicon Valley) analyzes intellectual property protection strategies for rapidly evolving artificial intelligence technology. 

The authors explain that a multi-pronged approach to protect AI software, data sets and hardware technology hardware may include patents, copyrights, trade secrets and contractual agreements. They note there is no single mechanism of IP protection for AI subject matter coverage, duration and strength of protection.
