Ropes & Gray Advises New Mountain Capital on its Investment in Ontario Systems

Ropes & Gray advised New Mountain Capital in its purchase of a majority share in Ontario Systems, a leading provider of enterprise software. As a result of the transaction, New Mountain will replace Arlington Capital Partners as Ontario Systems’ largest investor. The transaction was announced on August 22 and closed on August 30. Financial terms were not disclosed.

Ontario Systems, headquartered in Muncie, IN, provides enterprise software designed to improve operations and revenue recovery for clients in the healthcare industry and the accounts receivable management market as well as federal, state, and local governments.

The Ropes & Gray team was led by private equity transactions partner Garrett Charon and mergers & acquisitions and private equity partner John Sorkin (both of New York) and included finance partner Stephanie Birkmann (New York), tax partner Adam Greenwood (New York), benefits partner Danna Kivell (New York), litigation & enforcement partners Jonathan Klarfeld and Ama Adams (both of Washington, D.C.) and health care partner Tim McCrystal (Boston).
