Asset management attorneys Michael Doherty (New York), David Geffen, Nathan Somogie (both of Boston) and ERISA partner Josh Lichtenstein (New York) co-authored an article appearing in Wolters Kluwer on Oct. 22 titled Retail Investments In Private Funds: Regulatory Obstacles and Opportunities. The piece discusses the rationale for expanding retail access to private funds, and describes several potential models for doing so. The piece was first released by Ropes & Gray as a Whitepaper.
