Ropes & Gray Advises Sara Lee Frozen Bakery in its Acquisition of Cyrus O’Leary’s Pies

Ropes & Gray advised Sara Lee Frozen Bakery, a portfolio company of Kohlberg & Co., in connection with its acquisition of Cyrus O’Leary’s Pies. Financial terms weren’t disclosed. The deal was announced on Feb. 24. The press release is here.

Cyrus O’Leary’s Pies, based in Spokane, Washington, began as a landmark restaurant in 1981 and has grown into a nationally-distributed gourmet pie brand. Sara Lee Frozen Bakery is a leading maker of frozen bakery and dessert products headquartered in the Chicago suburb of Oakbrook Terrace with bakeries in Massachusetts, Michigan and North Carolina. The company’s premier brands include Sara Lee®, Van’s®, Chef Pierre® and Bistro® Collection and Superior on Main®.
